We are joined by friend of the show Robin of Cantina Marina to talk the nuances of the story over what else, but the most craftiest of craft beers in our fridge, the Boogoop a collaboration between heralded, but hard to come by, American craft brewery Three Flyod's and Danish gypsy brewer Mikkeller. Happy (pre) Black History Month! Daniel and Michael welcome Markus and Rodney, managers at Rocket Bar in DC's Chinatown to talk the oh so touchy subject of race at and behind the bar. First up though, we're drinking the delicious Dark Hollow Stout by Blue Mountain Barrel House and talking the impact of having the Capitals playing back at the Verizon Center on our respective bars. We also get into the minutiae of working at a corporate versus an independent owned bar and just ever so slightly begin to touch on the different perspective a black bartender may experience behind the taps than anyone else. Make sure to come back next week as well to listen to part two of this (possibly) controversial episode (it's not really)!
